Tuesday Etsy Favorites: Plush Edition

I'm going to try to make this a weekly post, because I am absolutely obsessed with etsy and have over 55 pages of favorites.  Yes, you read that right. 55.  If you have any suggestions of etsy shops or products I should include, please leave me a comment.  Today's favorites are all plush.  Some are purely decorative collectibles and others are for play or collecting.

This stuffed pug is from maldimaglia in Germany and sells for $25.50.  It is handmade of soft Merino wool felt and is absolutely adorable!  Collectible plush like these are generally not intended for play and are more for collecting and display.  They would look cute sitting on a shelf or on the couch next to the real dog!
This two-headed, two-tailed cat comes from TchotchkesByHolly in Nova Scotia, Canada and is $16.00.  This Frankenstein-esque creation is made from two reclaimed stuffed cats who have merged into one to form a stronger cat-being!  Again, this is not intended for children, and is a "beanie" stuffed creation so it contains small parts.  It would be a great addition to any oddball collector's (like myself!) stash!

This is an "Unfortunate Owl" and her name is Geraldine.  Just the name makes me want to buy one!  These owls are from freckletree, which is based in the United States and are made of 100% recycled materials, including stuffing.  They are made to purposefully reveal stitches, seams, and raw edges to give them that unfortunate, but well-loved look.  These owls sell for $22.00.  These are safe for children and adults alike.
This is a baby Yeti!  He is quite large at 22 inches tall and is a squishy, fluffy ball of Yeti love. He is non-shedding, doesn't eat much, and as you can see, only talks in little bubbles.  He is from vuduberi and is $35.00.  He can be cleaned with a damp cloth and is appropriate for small hands...and by that I mean children, not just those of you who have freakishly small grabbers.
How could I do a post on stuffed animals and not do a bear?  This is Mr. Rafe.  Yes, he comes with a name.  How convenient, right?  According to bijoukitty, his maker, "Rafe has all the rakish charm and sophistication of a cultured French bachelor.  His shaggy brown fur is like that guy who rolls out of bed with the hair that looks like messy perfection."  I couldn't agree more.  Rafe is 14 inches tall and costs $30.00.  He is handmade and has safety eyes and nose, but is not suitable for infants.

Mr. Fox is all set for a hike in the forest!  He seems a very distinguished little gentleman fox, and quite reminds me of my Uncle Charlie!  What do you suppose he has in his little satchel?  Perhaps a thermos of tea, some cheese and a bit of homemade bread?  He is for sale at BackAlleyCrafts for $39.95.  He is completely hand stitched and comes with all his little accessories.

  1. I like all of the amazing journals you can find on Etsy. Especially the ones made out of recycled items. I like this one by Jessi081689, made from the cover of an old Hardy Boys hardback. http://www.etsy.com/listing/75273881/hardy-boys-mystery-50-journal

  2. @Sha - I do remember your love of the Hardy Boys! While it does pain me a little to see a book not being, well, a book...I do love the idea of those journals!
